BLN24 is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. 

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, optimize data architecture, and ensure high-quality data processing. In this role, you will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and availability, while also playing a crucial part in data dissemination operations and maintaining data products. Responsibilities include enhancing existing data architecture, supporting regular data releases, identifying areas for improvement, maintaining and optimizing ETL processes, and communicating data design strategies with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop efficient data pipelines and infrastructure to support large-scale data processing advanced analytics, and visualization.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT processes to integrate and transform data from internal and external sources (APIs, databases, cloud services).
  • Implement and manage monitoring solutions to track the health, performance, and data flow to proactively address anomalies and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, build data products and improve backend systems to support big data storage and data-driven solutions.
  • Design and implement automations to handle tasks such as pushing bug fixes and managing data deployments.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from teams and provide technical solutions for data retrieval and analysis.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship, offering technical guidance on data engineering and best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, workflows, systems, and incident reports to ensure clarity and consistency.

Required Skills/Abilities & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python and SQL.
  • Extensive experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data processing tools.
  • Working experience with APIs for data integration and interaction with external systems.
  • Expertise in PowerShell for scripting, automation, and managing deployment processes.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Exposure to neural networks, machine learning models, and MLOps methodologies is a plus.
  • Competence in CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control tools.
  • Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts, OLAP/OLTP systems, and schema design.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Tableau and other business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments.
