Role Name: Customer Support/Admin - Animal Rescue Industry

Schedule:

  • 8am to 5pm ET M-F

Be part of a growing animal rescue organization dedicated to saving and rehoming animals in need. This passionate non-profit has already rescued approximately 3,000 animals and is currently expanding its impact by building an animal sanctuary. Your role will be crucial in supporting their mission and connecting with supporters, volunteers, and adopters.

Job Description

As a Customer Support/Admin specialist, you’ll be the voice and backbone of our animal rescue organization. You’ll manage incoming inquiries, update our digital presence, and support our Google Ad campaigns. This multifaceted role allows you to directly contribute to animal welfare while honing your skills in customer service, content creation, and digital marketing. If you’re detail-oriented, compassionate, and excited about making a tangible difference in animal lives, this position offers a unique opportunity to blend administrative support with meaningful outreach.

Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming calls and respond to inquiries about animal fostering, adoption, and volunteering
  • Manage and update our WordPress website with fresh content and engaging stories (this is just basic work, no development knowledge needed)
  • Create monthly updates on ongoing projects, including our developing animal sanctuary
  • Assist in preparing impactful basic reports for our donors and supporters
  • Coordinate communication between different aspects of our organization
  • Support various administrative tasks, including data entry and document preparation
  • Contribute to the growth and efficiency of our organization through proactive problem-solving


Requirements
  • Strong customer service skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Basic proficiency in WordPress for website updates and content posting (would be an advantage but not required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capacity to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • Passion for animal welfare and non-profit work
  • Comfort with basic office software and ability to quickly learn new tools
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a remote team
  • Emotional resilience when dealing with challenging animal welfare situations
