Position Title: Business Development Director - Fintech - Remote | WFH

Position Overview

As the Business Development Director - Fintech, you will be instrumental in driving the sales funnel for potential fintech and neo bank partnerships. Your primary objective will be to forge and sustain robust relationships with key business partners while harnessing your existing industry connections. This role encompasses the full spectrum of the sales process, including lead networking and sourcing, representing our organization at trade shows and industry events, as well as negotiating and formalizing agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a comprehensive technical understanding of our platform and its integrations.
  • Identify and engage potential bank or credit union partners by developing compelling business cases for decision-makers.
  • Establish and enhance a dynamic pipeline of fintech and neo bank collaborations.
  • Systematically nurture leads to convert them into successful partnerships.
  • Conduct meetings with current and prospective partners to amplify sales efforts and represent our organization at conferences and industry gatherings.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships Team to manage relationships with strategic business partners and their sales initiatives.
  • Work alongside various departments on partner due diligence and compliance assessments.
  • Engage with the banking industry network to remain updated on emerging trends and developments.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in business development or sales, particularly within the fintech and neo banking sectors, paired with a well-established network of industry contacts.
  • Proven track record in negotiating, finalizing, and executing master services agreements and scopes of work.
  • Familiarity with technological platforms within the financial services industry, including digital banking solutions and loan origination systems.
  • Experience managing third-party relationships, specifically with technology providers possessing varied business objectives and capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal abilities and a demonstrated capacity to effectively build and sustain relationships.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication proficiencies.
  • Proficient in Salesforce or a comparable CRM management tool.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
