Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as an IOP Therapist within our Intensive Outpatient Program, where you will be instrumental in assisting individuals facing significant mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders. This remote position offers you the opportunity to provide vital therapeutic interventions, including biopsychosocial assessments, both group and individual therapy, treatment planning, and effective case management, all while collaborating with a network of professionals committed to the recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

As an IOP Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting engaging group therapy sessions on critical topics such as Coping Skills, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Recovery Fundamentals.
  • Delivering personalized therapy through evidence-based practices that cater to the specific needs of each participant.
  • Administering thorough intake assessments and facilitating a seamless orientation for new participants entering the program.
  • Providing ongoing case management, crisis intervention, and mental health evaluations.
  • Crafting and refining treatment plans based on participant development and clinical insights.
  • Collaborating closely with families, external providers, and other professionals to offer psychoeducation and ensure integrated care.
  • Aiding participants in discharge planning and aftercare arrangements.
  • Ensuring timely and precise documentation in accordance with policy and care standards.
  • Assisting with utilization reviews and insurance authorizations to facilitate program services.
  • Meeting a direct care productivity standard of 65%.
  • Participating in on-call clinical rotations and adapting schedules as necessary to meet program demands.

Required Skills

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Current mental health licensure (LICSW, LCMHC, LMFT) in New Hampshire or eligibility to work under supervision for licensure.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in group counseling, ideally in PHP/IOP settings.
  • Expertise in treating mental illness and substance use disorders, with a nuanced understanding of co-occurring conditions.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices, trauma-informed care, and recovery-oriented methodologies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, fostering collaboration with participants, families, and clinical teams.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records, report writing, and videoconferencing tools.
  • Active certification in CPR, First Aid, AED, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), or willingness to obtain these shortly after hire.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance, along with satisfactory results from motor vehicle and criminal background checks.
