Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, high-performing backend systems that support our applications.
• Continuously refine site architecture and development processes, enhancing our software development lifecycle.
• Translate product requirements and technical designs into robust, low-defect code.
• Explore and innovate with new technologies and methodologies to improve our architecture and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of feedback and knowledge sharing among team members.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally with product, sales, customer support, and others to drive growth initiatives.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose effective solutions.
• Assist in managing complex software releases and ensure smooth transitions in code management.
• Conduct thorough software analysis, testing, and debugging to uphold code quality.
• Implement best practices using static code analysis tools to maintain industry standards.
• Mentor and guide team members in overcoming technical challenges.
• Work effectively with offshore teams, providing direction in product development.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and their practical applications.
• Proficient in object-oriented programming languages and familiar with tools like PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Experience with backend services or distributed systems, with a solid understanding of database interactions.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is beneficial.
• Experience in working with REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of client-side JavaScript frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent collaboration abilities across multiple teams, both onshore and offshore.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing Java applications across diverse phases.
