About Waterplan

Waterplan is a pioneering Series A Y Combinator-backed Climate Tech startup dedicated to accelerating the journey toward a water-secure future. Through our leading B2B Enterprise SaaS platform, we empower companies to understand, respond, report, and monitor their ever-evolving water risk. We help businesses see the tangible benefits of mitigating water risks – fostering a future where organizations are motivated to conserve water and preserve our precious ecosystems

About the role

As the Implementation Partnerships Lead at Waterplan, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our strategy to accelerate global water stewardship. Your leadership will drive the growth of our customer base, the scalability of impactful projects, and the expansion of our partner network. This role requires both strategic vision and execution to position Waterplan as the platform where companies connect with the right partners and projects to achieve their water stewardship goals.

About your core focus
  • Own and execute the strategy for driving customer growth and success through partnerships, ensuring effective partner integration and alignment with corporate water stewardship goals

  • Expand Waterplan’s global network of pre-vetted partners and portfolio of ready-to-launch projects, focusing on underserved basins and regions

  • Drive and scale impactful project execution to generate measurable results in terms of projects funded, outcomes and benefits, and progress toward water stewardship goals

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance platform functionality, improving access to information and decision-making tools related to partners and projects

  • Mentor and guide the partnerships team, fostering high performance and professional growth

  • Ensure iterative excellence and continuous improvement in partner engagement and project success rates to maintain readiness

Your profile
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in a leadership role in water stewardship, ESG, or partnership development with a strong existing network and experience managing and growing high-performing teams.

    • Preferred: Technical experience quantifying the outcomes and impacts of water stewardship projects (e.g., volumetric water benefit accounting or other frameworks)

  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to build and scale partnerships globally with multi-stakeholder engagement, especially between companies and non-profits/NGOs. Strong strategic vision and execution with a track record of driving measurable outcomes.

  • Mindset: You are an energetic and creative problem-solver who is passionate about water issues and driving meaningful environmental impact. You thrive in early-stage startup environments, where being resourceful and adaptable is crucial.

  • Location: Europe or US East Coast

Language: Fluency in English is required; fluency in Spanish is a plus

Why Join Waterplan?
