Role Overview:

 

Reporting to the Benefits Technology Lead, this position will support the build out and definition of the benefitstechnology roadmap, lead key initiatives in support of the roadmap, and focus on the development and strengthening of long term strategic relationships with benefits technology partners.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

Develop and manage aligned benefits technology vendor relationships, serving as single point of contact. Oversight of contract negotiations and management of ongoing performance of agreement; ongoing evaluation to the division and our clients based on established expectations and goals. Identification and facilitation of issue resolution for aligned relationships.

Work collaboratively with cross matrix partners to gather market intelligence about products, pricing, positioning, value propositions, channel conflicts/opportunities to inform development /implementation of winning strategies and tactics.

Build and maintain a level of technical knowledge about technology solutions and partners. Act as the SME resource and point of contact for preferred partners and the benefits technology industry as a whole.

Create, distribute, and educate sales teams (internal and external) with effective tools and materials that articulate the value proposition of preferred vendors and the benefits technology industry.

Identification and facilitation of enrollment and administrative process efficiencies for benefits technology relationships.

Responsible for key initiatives and critical functions, e.g. benefits technology funding, in support of the benefits technology roadmap in support of profitable growth (including new sales, inforce growth, persistency, and participation results).

 

What You’ll Bring:

 

Bachelor’s degree in business, health management or related field; with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the insurance industry; benefits technology experience preferred.

Proven track record of developing strong relationships with distribution partners and vendor technology.

Ability to identify strategic needs and lead with little or no direction, resource key projects, and drive sound business direction based on market findings.

Open minded and creative – seeks ‘out of box’ solutions.

Ability to provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Goal oriented and personally accountable; resourceful and self-directed.

Ability to work effectively in dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment.

Pay Transparency

Salary range: $85,000-$125,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
