12 month fixed term contract / full time

Location: The successful candidate may be based in a country where one of the independent National/Regional Greenpeace organisations (NRO’s) is located. See the locations here. [Please note that we are currently unable to host new staff in a number of NRO's at this present time, due to various restrictions. Greenpeace International (GPI) is seeking a Senior EDO Project Manager to support the Head of the EDO (HEDO) and the International Executive Director (IED) in managing projects within the Executive Director’s Office (EDO). Working closely with the EDO team, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of governance practices on a global scale.


In this role you will:

  • Project manage and lead the execution of the EDM, ensuring the project stays on track and meets objectives.

  • Oversee the EDM budget and budget management.

  • Develop and monitor the overall planning schedule.

  • Oversee the project team, including an internal communications specialist, external facilitators, and potentially Executive Directors and/or members of the Global Leadership Team (GLT), ensuring an open, co-creative planning process.

  • Coordinate all logistics and ensure alignment of the EDM with the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

  • Provide coordination assistance as needed for the AGM, supporting the governance coordinator and the AGM working group.

  • Develop and support implementation of processes, tools, and systems for increased efficiency and transparency of our governance systems. This may include Greennet Pages, Asana Boards, and/or Google Calendars and Google Sheets.

  • Continually develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure open lines of communication and maintenance of trust during the co-creation of governance meetings, such as the EDM and AGM.

  • Take on special projects as requested by the HEDO and IED as needed and depending on the workload above.
