Management Solutions is seeking a U.S. Government Compliance Manager to join our contracts group.

The U.S. Government Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance with U.S. Government contracting rules and regulations including federal, state and local municipalities providing strategic advice to the Chief Financial Officer on U.S. Government compliance; reviewing, improving and developing effective processes to ensure compliance with U.S. Government regulations; and ensuring the company’s compliance with FAR, CAS, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have strong technical and analytical capabilities, ability to quickly understand and synthesize complex business data sets and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Contracts, Operations, and Finance.
 
What you will need…
  • A Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience with government contracts including federal, state and local municipalities.
  • Minimum of 8 years of management or leadership experience.
  • Experience submitting annual incurred cost proposals to the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and overhead submissions to state transportation agencies.
  • Leadership experience ensuring the company’s compliance with government cost accounting rules and regulations, including application of indirect cost rates, proper segregation of direct and indirect costs are in accordance with the company’s disclosed accounting practices and accounting for allowable and unallowable costs.
  • Company liaison for DCAA, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Department of Labor, and other government or client audits, reviews or inquiries including developing company positions and preparing audit responses.
  • Detailed knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of internal controls related to FAR business system requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to operations and other departments regarding compliance with U.S. Government contracting regulations and the company’s related policies and procedures.
  • Regularly monitors accounting systems and internal controls and participates in enhancement initiatives to ensure compliance in accordance with FAR/DFARS.  Validates the integrity of accounting system data to ensure efficient and accurate government reporting.
  • Business or Accounting degree or related certifications.

Location:
  • This position is remote, with the expectation that candidates can work during Eastern Time Zone office hours. Residency in the United States is a mandatory requirement
