Duties and Responsibilities:
Support development and implementation of GSQ’s annual training plan, in collaboration and coordination with the Great Start to Quality team.
Deliver content expertise and resources to communities, state agencies, and organizations via training, consultation, facilitation, webinars, and other methods of education and information dissemination.
Provide support in the creation and execution of new training programs and new curriculum/materials, in collaboration with GSQ team, ECIC leadership team, and program leadership across the organization.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and research to share with team, partners, and to continuously improve TA offerings and trainings.
Collaborate internally with Program Directors and GSQ Managers within ECIC to meet internal and external training and technical assistance needs.
Present at conferences, curate, and disseminate research, best practices, and resources via e-news, respond to external questions and requests, and network at local, regional, statewide and national early childhood programs and events to increase visibility and understanding of GSQ.
Support convenings and virtual communities of practice to promote shared learning and networking among early childhood partners.
Manage activities as assigned, including but not limited to GSQ projects.
Supports cross-team collaboration and facilitation.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree ECE or in a related field.
5-10 years’ work experience, including at least two years in training, facilitation or consulting role.
Direct service as an early childhood professional (e.g., teacher, program director, home-based educator, home visitor)
Experience working with other early childhood professionals (e.g., training or technical assistance provider, teacher coach, or mentor)
Demonstrated commitment to racial equity.
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally both verbally and in writing.
Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks, projects, and timelines.
Knowledge of assessment tools used by Great Start to Quality; Certified in CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System), ERS (Environment Rating Scales), and/or SEL PQA (Social & Emotional Learning Program Quality Assessment) preferred.
Maintain CLASS observer and trainer certifications for Infant, Toddler, and Pre-K, including virtual delivery approval from Teachstone.
Strong knowledge and/or experience in state quality recognition and improvement systems and effective coaching, mentoring, and adult learning strategies.
Knowledge of MiRegistry (Michigan’s Professional Development Registry System)

Possession of a valid driver’s license and vehicle and the ability to travel throughout Michigan, including periodic overnight travel.
