Job description

Strategic Communications Specialist, Mid

The Opportunity:

The key to an organization’s growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization’s preferred reputation. We’re looking for a mid-level communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll advance your consulting skills to design, develop, produce, and consult on a variety of internal communications materials and media that support national security mission objectives.

As a communications specialist on our team, you will write and edit a wide range of communications products, such as news articles, workforce notices, announcements, website content, scripts, and employee newsletters. You'll work closely with senior executives to draft long-form remarks, presentations, and talking points that accurately capture their tone, lexicon, and cadence. You'll also be involved in the creation and execution of strategic communications plans and internal marketing campaigns. Your products will require little to no editing for typos and grammatical errors. You will draw on past experience to design and execute workforce surveys, focus groups, and interviews in support of brand management and will compile and present your results in a narrative form, using data to tell a compelling story that drives change.

In this role, you'll work hand-in-hand with senior executives in the client's organization, as well as your Booz Allen and client team members, to deliver professional products that help your client achieve their business objectives, promote their products and services, and engage the workforce. You will exercise sound judgement in decision-making and act as a representative of the client's Front Office to internal and enterprise stakeholders. Maturity and professionalism in interacting with stakeholders at all levels and in all situations is a must. This role requires 100% onside delivery.

Work with us as we design, develop, and produce world-class communications to inspire, effect change, and strengthen our client's mission.
