Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Communications Specialist (m/f/x). The ideal candidate will support the development and execution of internal and external communication strategies, helping to promote our brand, enhance public relations efforts, and maintain consistency in messaging across all platforms. As a Communications Specialist, your role is pivotal in ensuring effective communication across all touchpoints, with all stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone looking to build their career in communications, public relations, or marketing.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Content Creation and Management: Assist in developing engaging content for all communication channels, including blog posts, social media, press releases, newsletters, sales enablement, brochures, and website copy. Drive, execute and follow up your communication activities in a timely and structured manner according to business objectives. 
  • Social Media Management: Help manage social media accounts, creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Media Relations: Assist in drafting press releases, media pitches, and coordinating media requests. Maintain and update media contact lists.
  • Internal Communications: Contribute to internal communications efforts, including creating content for company newsletters, intranet updates, and employee engagement campaigns.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications align with the organization’s brand voice and identity, helping to maintain a consistent tone across platforms.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns through analytics tools, providing insights for future improvements.
  • Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, HR, product teams) to ensure aligned messaging in all external and internal materials.
  • Research & Trends: Stay updated on the latest communication trends, industry news, and competitor activity to ensure the company remains competitive and relevant.

 

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail. German language is a bonus.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, X).
  • Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Hubspot/Mailchimp) is a plus.
  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a bonus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.
