Our Parsons Baltimore office is now hiring for a Senior  Bridge Design Engineer with a desire to work on both conventional and design/build Bridge programs, to join our team in Maryland.  You can be a part of a global company that has transformed over 4400 bridges around the world! At Parsons, we have the technical expertise to deliver any type of bridge design, including Long Span bridges, Segmental bridges, Cable-Stayed bridges, Movable bridges and Suspension Bridges as well as conventional bridges.

  In this role, you will plan and design Bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will be responsible for the development of engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys and designs.  Come join our winning team in Baltimore! This role offers fully virtual based US East Coast region. Hybrid remote is also offered.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
  • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
  • Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking and improved results.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all employees, clients and other stakeholders. 

Qualifications

  • 8 years or more of related work experience with bridge engineering design
  • BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis is required
  • MS in Structural Engineering is desirable  
  • PE licensure is required at this level
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standard and specialty bridge design and analysis software

Salary Range: 

$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
