Job Title:              Mechanical Stress Analyst 
Location:              Walsall (Other locations considered)
Compensation:    £50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

The Role
As a Mechanical Stress Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will get to work as part of our Engineering and Systems Integration business and get involved with a multitude of complex design challenges. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll undertake structural assessment using hand calculations and finite element analysis. 

  • Structures surveys and validation exercises 
  • Design and assessment for explosive shock survivability 
  • Assessment of capability upgrades
  • Technical investigations and feasibility studies 
  • Management and assessment of structural defects

 

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and can be delivered from various locations alongside home working arrangements.

 

Experience required of the Mechanical Stress Analyst 

  • Good understanding of stress analysis and design 
  • Ideally familiar with structural assessment methods, standards and codes
  • Experience with finite element analysis software such as SolidWorks Simulation
  • Analytical approach to problem solving 

 

Qualifications for the Mechanical Stress Analyst 

  • Degree or equivalent qualified in STEM discipline

 

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain  BPSS + Non Police Personnel Vetting 1 (BPNPPV1) security clearance for this role.
