About the Position:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented VP or SVP of Business Development / Strategic Partnerships to join their team remotely from anywhere in the US. In this crucial role, you will take the lead in forging commercial collaborations with top pharmaceutical companies in the oncology arena.

The ideal candidate will have an impressive track record of closing bio-pharma deals and a deep understanding of the oncology landscape and drug development processes.

A well-established network within biopharma translational and research groups is a must, as is the savvy to develop strategic business approaches, address customer needs, and negotiate complex contracts like a pro.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be an integral part of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO to shape the company's vision and overall strategy.
  • Take the reins in identifying, evaluating, negotiating, securing, and managing new business opportunities, driving the company's strategy forward.
  • Recruit, lead, and inspire a high-performing business development team, showcasing your versatility in managing teams of varying sizes.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with biopharma organizations.
  • Actively seek out and assess new business opportunities to fuel growth.
  • Develop and articulate the strategic rationale for new products and market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in business development or sales within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Deep familiarity with the US market and established networks in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical center sectors.
  • Has demonstrated success in senior leadership roles, with solid expertise in sales, marketing, reimbursement, and business development in healthcare.
  • Proficient in navigating large, complex customer environments while effectively engaging key executives and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • An advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MBA) is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the precision oncology field is a significant plus.
