Position Title: Bookkeeper
Work Set-up: Work From Office
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM PH Time
Salary: Php 15,000.00 – Php 20,000.00
Our client specializes in bookkeeping and financial management services tailored for
construction businesses. They handle tasks such as accounting software setup, account reconciliation, payroll processing, BAS preparation, and financial reporting, allowing business owners to focus on growth and project management.
JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A BOOKKEEPER
Your Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper:
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Manage receipts
• Manage accounts receivables and payable
• Utilise Xero for bookkeeping and financial management tasks
• Prepare payroll processing and compliance
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations
• Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
• Utilise practice management software to update daily tasks
• Assist with ad-hoc tasks
o Prepare and send engagement letters
o Documenting processes
o Managing calendar bookings
o Email management etc
o Organise client gifts
Qualifications as a Bookkeeper:
• Must have 1-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper in an Australian setting.
• Experience with trades businesses is a plus but not required
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., BAS Agent certification) is a plus.
