We are seeking a highly motivated Actuarial Professional to join our dynamic actuarial team. In this pivotal role, you will build and maintain our actuarial dashboard, essential for monitoring and communicating business performance across all lines of business. Your contributions will support our rapid growth and ensure that our actuarial practices continuously improve. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, advanced coding abilities, and a passion for leveraging data to drive decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you’ll support our business through the following areas:

  • Dashboard Development: Build and maintain a Power BI dashboard to effectively monitor business performance metrics such as rate filings, trends, IBNR, and loss experiences.
  • Quarterly Refreshes: Perform quarterly updates to the actuarial dashboard, ensuring data accuracy and expanding its functionality to include additional lines of business. Initial focus will be on Builder Risks and Renters, with future expansions into Excess & Surplus (ES) and Commercial lines.
  • Reserve Analysis: Further develop and refine reserve analysis processes to provide comprehensive insights across all business lines.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate effective communication and feedback loops between key business partners, including Product, Claims, and Underwriting teams, to ensure alignment and drive continuous improvements in actuarial practices.
  • Professional Development: Pursue formal education and certification through Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams and engage in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills in the actuarial field.
  • Additional Duties: Support the organization in various capacities as needed, contributing to the overall growth and development of the team.

WHAT IT TAKES

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to pursuing CAS exams and continuing education.
