Senior Accountant

POSITION OVERVIEW

Sky Zone is the largest developer, operator, and franchisor in the world within their sector of the entertainment industry. The Senior Accountant reports to the Assistant Controller and will protect and grow the amazing company culture by supporting the Accounting team with daily, monthly, and annual financial requirements and compliance. Responsibilities include preparing account reconciliations, recording journal entries and flux analyses for monthly close, and responding to audit and other special projects. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and improve various aspects of the accounting process including inventory, credit card payouts, accruals, and park deposits

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations for several accounts

• Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

• Build and support cross-functional relationships with other department leaders.

• Support the annual audit and other information requests as required to meet the Company’s business and operational needs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on robust workload.
• Must be collaborative, able to fulfill and adapt to the requests of our internal and external clients.
• Value accountability and efficiency
• Detail-oriented and a problem-solver
• Sets priorities and meets deadlines consistently.
• Proficient in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Strong organizational, analytical, and technical accounting skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Public company experience is a bonus
• 5+ years of related experience in progressively responsible accounting roles, including multi-unit and franchise experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.

Compensation ranges from $90-100k and is based on qualifications and experience.
