General Information:

In alignment with the HUB’s vision and growth strategy, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Training Coordinator/ Curriculum Manager to standardize training curricula across multiple functions and factories in the North America Hub.  This role will focus on developing, managing, and improving training content across key areas such as Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), Quality, Manufacturing Production Operations (SAP/Systems Training, Foundational Knowledge), and Maintenance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining course content, building job profiles, and identifying skill requirements essential to operational success.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development & Standardization:
    • Design, develop, and standardize training curriculums across the HUB to ensure consistency and compliance.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update course content in areas such as HSE, Quality, Production Operations, and Maintenance.
    • Ensure training materials are aligned with industry standards and organizational goals.
  • Job Profile & Skill Requirements:
    • Build and maintain comprehensive job profiles for various roles in production, quality, HSE, and maintenance functions.
    • Define and document the skill requirements for each job profile, ensuring they align with operational needs and safety standards.
    • Continuously review and update job profiles based on evolving operational practices and compliance requirements.
  • Training Program Management:
    • Manage the development and delivery of training programs, including both classroom and on-the-job training, virtual learning, and system-based training (SAP and other platforms).
    • Implement training assessments and evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the programs and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Work closely with HSE, Quality, Production Operations, and Maintenance teams to identify training needs and ensure curriculum meets the requirements of each department.
    • Coordinate with global and regional stakeholders to align training initiatives with strategic goals.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for training-related inquiries and support across different teams.
  • Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, performance metrics, and skill assessments.
    • Make data-driven recommendations for enhancements and updates to training materials and delivery methods.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in training, especially within HSE, Quality, Production, and Maintenance domains.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Training, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • 7+ years of experience in training program development, curriculum management, or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in HSE, Quality, Production Operations, and Maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP systems and other relevant operational software is a plus.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong instructional design and content development skills, with experience and knowledge of adult learning methods.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across different departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to analyze complex training needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other training platforms.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
