Canary Systems is an electronic hardware and software engineering firm specializing in mining and civil engineering-related monitoring and instrumentation applications. Projects include monitoring of open-pit and underground mines, earth and concrete dams, bridges, tunnels, and buildings. We operate in several markets including construction, mining, geotechnical, industrial, and public infrastructure.

We are looking for an individual with a mining and instrumentation background to assist in supporting the implementation and maintenance of our in-field hardware systems at a remote project located in Indonesia.

The Senior Engineer will be placed on a scheduled rotation at the remote jobsite with 10-hour day shifts, working 6 days per week. The employee will coordinate tasks with our Indonesia Group located in Jakarta, and report to the Indonesia Group Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

Manage project installations
Provide project scopes
Provide installation services
Prepare project documentation, including status and operational reports
Coordinate support or provide support as needed
Preferably posses a "POP" Mining Indonesia competency certificate to become a Canary Systems on-site PJO
Oversee troubleshooting and repair services
Provide training and other services

Expertise/Background Required:

At least a Bachelor's Degree (S1) in an electrical or geo engineering related field.

Geotechnical and hydrological instrumentation and technologies, for civil infrastructure, open pit mining, and/or underground mining
Geotechnical/hydrological data collection and reduction
Monitoring system hardware, including battery powered electronics and electrical circuitry and design
Communications, including wireless and wired technologies (Wi-Fi, radios, modems, satellite)
Software, including database technologies
Hand tools, power tools, electronic test units
At least 4 years experience (Senior)
