About The Role  

TMH seeks a self-motivated project manager to join the Project Delivery team, to help us deploy more vehicle fleet electrification solutions across North America. This candidate will directly manage and deliver a portfolio of critical charging infrastructure projects to end customers electrifying their vehicle fleets 

Relying on superior communication, organizational ability, and attention to detail, the Project Manager will establish project plans, assemble and manage a variety of internal and external project stakeholders, and keep their portfolio or projects moving toward on-time completion.  Successful candidates will be provided with exposure to cutting-edge charge management technology, and have direct ownership of landmark electrification projects.

Responsibilities 

  • Advise on end-to-end solutions for charging infrastructure projects, from pre-sales stages through commissioning and operations go-live: 
    • Estimating project timelines and costs 
    • Recommending optimal equipment and installation locations 
    • Recommending ways to optimize collaboration with utility 
    • Identifying and mitigating potential project risks. 
  • Manage TMH hardware installation/commission in personally and/or remotely through subcontractors  
  • Coordinate project execution stakeholders, including but not limited to general contractors, electricians, engineers, equipment manufacturers, IT providers, and auxiliary construction service providers. 
  • Attend customer & partner meetings, and communicate with them by email, to set and manage project expectations 
  • Support hardware-related project tasks, including inventory management, set-up, shipping, and deployment of TMH hardware at customer sites. 
  • Onboard, train, and manage remote site commissioning partners 
  • Provide construction feedback to support sales efforts, contributing to the selection of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and other vendors. 
  • Follow established implementation processes while proposing potential process improvements 

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in initiating and managing infrastructure construction projects across all stages of the project life cycle, including at least 2 years of hands-on field deployment: 
  • Expertise in conducting pre-sales assessments to ensure construction feasibility and develop well-structured project plans. 
  • Experience with soliciting, reviewing and analyzing contractor quotes for construction projects: evaluating scope, cost, and completeness. 
  • Ability to anticipate and forecast potential challenges and obstacles based on comprehensive project analysis.  
  • Proven experience in external stakeholder management (customers, 3rd party funders, contractor groups, utilities, AHJs), including a track record of influencing these stakeholders to adopt new technologies and best practices 
  • Previous involvement as a liaison between internal stakeholders (pre-sales, sales engineering, implementation, operations, etc.) in infrastructure development or pre-construction roles. 
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and use deductive diagnosis to solve tech issues affecting hardware and software combinations, particularly with electrical, IoT and/or networking infrastructure 
  • Experience using project management tools such as SmartSheets to create streamlined workflows to manage construction processes and optimize efficiency. 
  • Electrical Knowledge
    • Understanding of fundamental electrical concepts, including voltage, current, and power. 
    • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and diagrams. 
    • Familiarity with safety standards and practices related to electrical systems. 
    • Experience collaborating with electricians or electrical engineers on project planning and execution. 
  • Basic networking knowledge: 
    • Familiarity with key networking concepts such as IP addresses, subnetting, firewalls, and routers. 
    • Understanding of network infrastructure and topology (LAN, WAN, VPN). 
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT teams and network engineers to plan and execute network-related components of projects. 
    • Awareness of network security protocols and best practices. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time across North America 
  • Strong alignment with The Mobility House's mission.

Bonus points

  • Familiarity with electric vehicle industry, charging infrastructure, or electrification disciplines. 
  • Experience with low voltage electronics and outdoor-rated hardware. 
  • Basic hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, including wiring, stripping, terminating, and basic mechanical troubleshooting. 
  • Familiarity with Command Line Interface (CLI) and Linux terminal for equipment setup and troubleshooting purposes. 
  • Prior experience implementing and testing IoT devices, such as PLCs, Raspberry Pi, and wireless routers  
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and SmartSheets
