Job description

Everbridge is seeking a System Engineer with a strong software development background to join our team in Hungary. This is a remote/home-based role that can be based anywhere in Hungary.

What you'll do:

Designing and conceptualizing system architecture

Analyzing requirements and deploying Proof of Concepts (POCs)

Collaborating with global teams, including Project Managers and Developers

Deploying applications on Windows and Linux servers

Managing database deployments

Debugging software and resolving technical issues

What you'll bring:

Strong experience with Windows and Linux servers

Proficiency in Active Directory (GPO, user accounts)

Experience with web servers (IIS, Apache)

Knowledge of software update management and patching

Familiarity with SQL (MS SQL and PostgreSQL)

Scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash

Understanding of programming and debugging (.NET, C#)

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and storage solutions (Dell DAS)

Basic understanding of networking topology (DMZ, load balancer)

Knowledge of Microsoft Clustering SQL AlwaysOn and Hyper-V (a plus)

Experience in GIS (a plus)

Additional Qualification
