As a member of our accessibility team, you will utilize your wealth of experience to train development teams to produce accessible code. You will work across programs to ensure that the documents and media they produce meet the needs of a diverse set of users. You will develop subject matter expertise in technical requirements for Federal accessibility regulations, such as the U.S. Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), to ensure that applications produced by GDIT client teams meet or exceed those requirements. You will be an advocate for technology solutions that support inclusion within GDIT and with our client agencies.

  • Advocate for processes that support mature accessibility practices in TSS ACICS client programs
  • Assess and write Accessibility Conformance Reports for applications developed by vendors and internal teams using the Voluntary Product Assessment Template (VPAT)
  • Use accessibility testing software, such as the Accessibility Management Platform (AMP), ANDI, Axe DevTools, Accessibility Insights, Color Contrast Analyzer, Microsoft Inspect, and/or Oracle Java Access Inspector
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Section 508 teams at client agencies
  • Work with application vendors to identify accessibility issues and promote remediation
  • US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

  • Experience with use of assistive technology for personal use or validation
  • Knowledge of accessible design practices and effective incorporation of accessibility into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with subject matter experts to conduct research, resolve issues, and develop recommendations.

Preferred qualifications:
