Job description

Are you looking for an opportunity to work remotely with a team of passionate video game developers? Are you a reliable, effective, and quality focused Software Test Engineer that can level up a project and the team around you? If so, here is an opportunity for you to iterate and grow with our team on our ambitious new title, Towerborne

As a Software Test Engineer you will create software test plans and the tools necessary to execute them. You will collaborate with other technical staff to support our Test Team. You will put your passion for quality to work and help optimize our users' experiences. This role is fully remote in the US. We are looking for someone with previous experience in the video game industry.


What You Will Do
Perform quality assurance testing for software products including; * Unreal Game clients on PC and Xbox, * Unreal Editor tools on PC, * Custom development tools on PC, and * Backend Services running in Azure and PlayFab
* Create and design application testing processes
* Collaborate with fellow QA team members to develop test plans
* Collaborate and direct TAs to schedule test pass execution
* Monitor system and software functionality
* Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems
* Scripted testing and problem-solving of various tasks
* Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes
* Implement feedback and changes whenever possible

Must Have
  • 3+ years in software test for video games

  • While Stoic is a fully remote, forever remote workforce, this is a US-based role. The person filling this role will need to be eligible to work without visa support and located in the contiguous United States.

    United States Pay Range
    $75,000 - 95,000 USD

    This range is determined by several factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. It is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

    The final job level and compensation will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
