Position Profile

The position is for a Senior Software Engineer with experience with .NET and knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and Cloud technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving production issues, participating in virtual support sessions, and developing software codes to improve systems performance and enhance functionality according to requirements and specifications and within delivery timelines.

Responsibilities

  • To develop software solutions to ensure the product complies with high quality and performance standards and is delivered within the established timelines.
  • Develop unit-testable codes with corresponding unit tests.
  • Reduce technical debt by analyzing code and enhancing the same by code refactoring.
  • Participate in initiatives that improve processes and/or procedures that contribute to performance effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • At least 5+ years of working experience in an agile software development environment.
  • Significant commercial software development experience in C#, .Net, Angular JS, Bootstrap, ASP.NET Core & Web API, NHibernate, Entity Framework, and SQL.
  • Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
  • Positive and professional approach at all times.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Ability to empathize with the customer’s viewpoint when designing and developing software.

Schedule availability

You may be required to work on any of these schedules based on availability:

  • Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm CST.
  • Monday to Friday, 11 am - 8 pm CST.

Important notes

  • This is a pipeline role with an anticipated start date in January 2025. 
  • The position is open exclusively to candidates based in Costa Rica.
  • Please note that occasional in-office presence at the Granadilla office may be required during client visits for planning sessions.
