How you'll make a difference?

Supervisor position overseeing Accounts Receivable personnel resolving third party payer DME aging balances.  Ensures daily account production and quality standards are being met and exceededPromote open communication and team work, mentor and coach team daily.

What will your duties and responsibilities be?

The following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.

  • Timely completion of all corporate wide and departmental training.

  • Understand and promote Compliance adherence.

  • Perform all of the responsibilities of an Account Receivable Collector III.

  • Provide leadership for team of approximately 2-15 employees; make decisions; solve problems; develop unit procedures; conduct meetings; represent unit/department/program at internal and external meetings.

  • Develop performance expectations, identify essential functions and knowledge, skills and abilities required; assign work to ensure business and team goals are completed within expected time frames.

  • Monitor team performance; train or provide adequate resources for employees; coach, counsel and motivate employees; assist in evaluating employees; investigate complaints or performance concerns and escalate to direct manager

  • Ensure effective employee relations; create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment; establish effective communication lines/methods; identify and assist in solving employee problems.

  • Approve leave and overtime; complete or review and approve time sheets.

  • Perform a wide variety of duties of a Collections nature requiring high level of initiative and degree of judgment in solving problems.

  • Maintain oversight for timely and accurate follow up by personnel on open aging accounts.

  • Provide leadership based on meeting business, team, and individual metrics.

  • Make appropriate decisions and recommendations to maintain accuracy and efficiency of department standards

  • Communicate with other organization departments (IT, Operations, Sales, Sales Administration, Contracting, etc.) to maintain efficiencies of the operation and assist in timely reimbursements

  • Monitors reports and updates management if any increases above general baseline.

  • Train and educate collectors on work instructions, processes, guidelines and policies.

  • Troubleshoot accounts with Accounts Receivable Collectors and engage other departments as needed for resolution.

  • Work effectively and in partnership with other team leaders and supervisors to meet the needs of the business

  • Promote and exude a positive work environment.

  • Regular attendance required.

What skills and experience will you need?
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment and abide by Orthofix code of conduct.

  • Excellent organizational skills and written skills.

  • Excellent utilization of computer skills.  Able to run various programs with ease.

  • Excellent knowledge of third party payer system (National and Regional payer, Medicaid, Tricare, etc.)

  • Present to groups with ease.

  • Ability to hold information in confidence.  At times, may be part of meetings/conversations that will require confidentiality for a period of time.

  • Duties require a thorough knowledge of the company policies and procedures (using professional judgment and initiative)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

What qualifications are preferred?
The education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above

  • 2 or more years leadership experience, preferably in a healthcare related field.

  • 5+ years DME health care experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in leading a team of approximately 2-15 employees

  • Some travel may be required.
