Position Description:

Associate Director, Transfer Pricing

This position is a key data analytical role in the Transfer Pricing Organization, responsible for liaising with various business partners across Finance and IT, with the ability to identify strategic opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

The position has responsibility for providing analysis and support for the development, implementation and defense of our Company’s transfer pricing system. This role is a blend of finance, strategy, business partnering, and legal analysis and includes activity around transfer pricing methodology, manufacturing strategy, global tax audit defense related to transfer pricing, SAP/Business Objects liaison, intercompany risk and expense allocation billings.

Primary Activities:

  • Coordinate with finance and tax teams globally to execute the implementation of the intercompany pricing policy, monitor and validate transfer pricing results by preparation of functional income statements and provide critical knowledge to deal effectively with transfer pricing issues.

  • A high degree of organization and the ability to effectively manage and analyze data for transfer pricing purposes is required in order to successfully discharge the responsibilities of this position.

  • The position will require a broad experience level in wide range of global transfer pricing activities and will support the members of the International Tax Planning, Tax Accounting, IT and other business partners.     

  • Support intercompany service recharges, specifically with cost and data analysis, implementation of allocation methods, and financial modeling to ensure compliance with existing transfer pricing regulations;

  • Work closely with business partners to gather data requirements; align their needs with source data capabilities; develop new technical solutions or upgrade existing processes.

  • The candidate requires an understanding of our Company's value chain and business partnering skills with personnel and outside advisors (economists, lawyers, and accountants).

Position Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, business advisory, transfer pricing, economic consulting or Federal/International business tax consulting work experience

  • Preferred - CPA, Chartered Accountant, or MBA

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proficient in Business Intelligence Data Analytical Tools/SAP/Business Objects

  • Advanced Excel skills, including V-LOOKUPS, SUMIFS, PIVOT TABLES, workbook linking, and similar functions

  • Interest in and knowledge of tax principles, particularly in transfer pricing

  • Ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects to completion

  • Strong analytical skills and solid experience with financial data

  • Self-motivated and able to work in a deadline-driven environment

  • Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently to achieve results

  • Proven track record of strong relationship building and effective business communication skills; strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills.

Expected US salary range:

$122,800.00 - $193,300.00
