Job description

This is a senior technology leadership role overseeing and guiding the effective organizational utilization and continuous improvement of HFHI’s Digital Business Platforms and related ancillary solutions in support of Habitat’s human resources, payroll, finance, and other business functions in a global context.


This role drives efficiency; fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement; and leads the platform team in leveraging best practices and incorporating/evolving platform features in support of organizational goals & objectives within the Digital Business Platform ecosystem.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


• Be a trusted advisor to the Business departments, and provide collaborative consultation, and governance across all aspects of the Business platform ecosystem and its utilization, keeping current on evolving and upcoming business needs to help drive innovation and continuous improvement.

• Build/recruit, manage and lead business technology team responsible for all aspects of support, operations, and employee career development as pertains to the Digital Business Platforms portfolio.

• Work closely within the Digital Business Platforms portfolio, Technology Director and team, and across other IT portfolios to successfully deliver services and business value.

• Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to evaluate new features, functionality, and enhancements within the Digital Business Platforms ecosystem.

• Align the Business platform roadmaps with evolving organizational initiatives, goals, and objectives.

• Evolve governance models, drive DevOps/release management best practices, and foster robust incident and change management processes.

• Design, approve, manage, and audit relevant policies, procedures, and standards pertaining to the Digital Business Platforms’ service lifecycle.

• Collaborate with other platform, product, technology, and architecture teams on enterprise design that enables globally shared capabilities with HFHI’s Technology environments.

• Develop, oversee, and optimize day-to-day operations of the Digital Business Platforms leveraging industry best practices, including tenant and configuration management, interface design, integration and development, security, release testing & management, and change management.

• Direct the regular execution of system audits, incident response exercises, and system performance assessments to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all Digital Technology platforms and associated data.

• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development and functional teams, ensuring best practices and standards throughout the product development lifecycle.

• Effectively communicate and build relationships to interact, inform, influence, and communicate with key stakeholders at all levels within HFHI and with National Organizations, US Affiliates, and other affiliated organizations regarding the Workday platform.

• Manage vendor relationships and the associated products and services being delivered, ensuring those continue to meet expectations and provide value to HFHI.


Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Years of Related Experience:

Must have a minimum of 10 years related experience, preferably in a non-profit setting.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Significant experience in managing services through partners/vendors in outsourced model

• Passionate and knowledgeable about the technology landscape, with a history of predicting and planning for implementation of trending technologies to maximize investment

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks or projects to align with the strategic objectives and with business goals.

• Thorough understanding of operational support processes with excellent business acumen

• Proven record of building high performing team

• Proven history of thriving in a fast-paced environment, while dealing with ambiguity.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The actual salary offered for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including location, internal equity and the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience. HFHI offers a competitive, comprehensive benefits package that varies by country and typically includes vacation leave, sick leave, personal days, health insurance options, retirement plan contributions and life insurance. For work locations in the US, the hiring range for this position is $104,210 to $122,600.


Staff hired on a hybrid basis in the United States near an HFHI office location (Atlanta, Georgia / Washington, DC and Americus, GA), are required to report to the office on Tuesdays.
