The HubSpot Automation Specialist  will be a key participant in the development of ACT’s external communications strategy. They will be responsible for implementing the external communications plan that will advance ACT’s enterprise strategy, priority initiatives, brand identity and equity, and business outcomes, with a focus on increasing the visibility of programs across key stakeholder audiences.

This leader will implement the external communications strategy through creation and implementation of speeches, research positioning, and communications activities that promote, enhance, amplify, and protect the organization’s brand reputation.

The finalist will be hired at the salary and level commensurate with their qualifications.  We anticipate offering a market competitive annual salary in the range of $80,000 - $95,000.  ACT manages salaries within the range based on relevant factors including, skills, experience, and internal equity.  The position is not incentive eligible.

 

Location:  This is a remote position (can also be onsite or hybrid if in Iowa City, Iowa area)

 

A Day in the Life:

  • Develop and execute automated workflows, email campaigns, and lead nurturing strategies within HubSpot.
  • Implement segmentation, targeting, and list management to support personalized marketing efforts.
  • Leverage HubSpot's automation tools to create and implement personalized customer journeys, lead nurturing workflows, and behavior-based triggers.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement creative solutions in HubSpot, ensuring campaigns are visually appealing, engaging, and effective.
  • Optimize and A/B test automated workflows to improve campaign performance.
  • Analyze campaign data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues within HubSpot, ensuring smooth operations.

Role Progression:

  • 4 Months:
    • Comfort and familiarity within Hubspot and other integrated platforms, processes, and stakeholders.
    • Ability to execute list automations, build, schedule and deploy emails, landing pages, and other related marketing activities
  • 8 Months:
    • Ability to provide strategy and advanced segmentation that supports an expanding range of workflows and customer journeys.
  • 12 Months:
    • Ability to provide training and support to the rest of the marketing automation team for advanced marketing activities
    • Support the CRM lead with advanced expertise and deep platform/domain knowledge.

About You:

  • At least 3 years hands-on experience working with HubSpot Marketing Hub, including automation and reporting features.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript for custom formatting.
  • Experience with data segmentation, email marketing best practices, and A/B testing.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation principles, lead nurturing, and CRM integration.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate and work effectively with individuals inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to manage change and navigate positively in an environment experiencing change at a fast pace.
  • Skills and knowledge required for success in this position attained through experience, education (Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area of study), or a combination of both.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Graphic Design with an eye toward User Experience.
  • B2C marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with SEO, content marketing, and social media marketing.
