Summary:

Member Services Specialists are the first point of contact for youth, families/caregivers, and Providers accessing the System of Care.;

Responsibilities:

  • Answer all calls within a specific service level agreement
  • Complete the registration process
  • Explain procedures for accessing services to Members
  • Manage questions from treatment Providers
  • Determine the appropriate routing of the call and attempt to be the first point of resolution
  • Maintain consistent procedures
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Will rotate holiday coverage ***

Education/Experience:

  • Qualified candidates must be local to Robbinsville, New Jersey
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree or higher preferred
    • With an Associate's Degree, a minimum of one (1) year of current/recent mental health and/or human services experience required; or equivalent background and experience that would translate well into this position
    • Without an Associate's Degree, a minimum of two (2) years of current/recent mental health and/or human services experience required; or equivalent background and experience that would translate well into this position
  • Minimum one (1) year of current/recent Behavioral Health experience preferred
  • Call Center experience with high call volume
  • Ability to respond sensitively to Member’s (youth, families/caregivers) and Provider's requests;
  • Ability to effectively communicate (listening, verbal, and written) with Members, and all internal and external customers
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
