Job Overview

As a Senior Fund Accountant within our Outsourced Accounting and Reporting Services team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering customized accounting and reporting solutions. Reporting to a Fund Controller or Senior Manager, you will work primarily within the private equity domain, ensuring exemplary service and accuracy in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor cash transactions to guarantee precise and timely accounting entries.
  • Assist in the quarterly closing process by compiling NAV statements from investment partnerships for fund of funds clients.
  • Prepare and distribute preliminary financial and investor reports, ensuring adherence to formatting and accuracy standards, followed by the dissemination of final reports upon client approval.
  • Generate and review periodic client reports, including weekly updates and notifications.
  • Facilitate the processing of capital calls and distributions, including notifications to client investors and handling capital call receipts.
  • Manage client investor portals and promptly address investor inquiries.
  • Prepare audit work papers and coordinate confirmation requests for investments.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual partnership income tax returns and Schedule K-1s, including compiling header information and responding to preparer requests.
  • Conduct research and provide analysis for ad hoc inquiries as needed.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in private equity or partnership investment accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical aptitude with advanced Excel skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced setting.
