Job Overview

As a valued member of our Outsourced Accounting and Reporting Services team, you will work under the guidance of a Fund Controller or Senior Manager. This role is pivotal in providing bespoke accounting and reporting services within the private equity arena. Your key contributions will involve transaction entry, quarterly financial statement preparation, audit coordination, annual tax return management, and client interaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure precise monitoring of cash transactions to facilitate accurate accounting entries and timely bank reconciliations.
  • Collaborate in the quarterly closing process by gathering NAV statements from investment partnerships for fund of funds clients, ensuring the accuracy of preliminary financial and investor reports.
  • Develop and scrutinize periodic client reports, including weekly updates and notices.
  • Facilitate capital call processing and distributions, including notifications to client investors and capital call receipt management.
  • Administer client investor portals and address inquiries from investors.
  • Prepare work papers for annual audits and manage confirmation requests related to investments.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual partnership income tax returns and Schedule K-1s, including gathering necessary information and addressing preparer inquiries.
  • Conduct research and analysis for ad hoc inquiries as required.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in private equity or partnership investment accounting is strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
