Job Overview

We invite a results-driven Partner to join our esteemed Real Estate Practice, offering an exceptional chance for an accomplished attorney dedicated to assisting property owners, developers, lenders, and investors with their commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all dimensions of intricate and sophisticated transactions for clients across various sectors.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through a comprehensive range of legal matters throughout their lifecycle.
  • Manage and conclude complex transactions, including drafting essential agreements and documentation.

Required Skills

  • 7-12 years of extensive experience in commercial real estate law.
  • Strong expertise in transactional matters, encompassing commercial office and retail leasing, development, lending, and financing.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership and negotiation capabilities, coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, thriving in a collaborative environment and adept at fostering client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Candidates must possess a valid license to practice law in Illinois or be licensed in another state with a UBE score qualifying for comity in Illinois, or demonstrate willingness to take the Illinois bar exam (relocation candidates are encouraged).
  • Experience in commercial lending and banking transactions is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with real estate diligence matters, entitlement, zoning, and tax issues is preferred but not required.
