Job Overview

As a Curriculum Coordinator, you will be instrumental in enhancing educational experiences through the effective management and oversight of curriculum development, implementation, and revision across diverse programs. Your ability to foster collaboration among faculty, staff, and students will be crucial in gathering insightful feedback and identifying areas for curricular enhancement. This role demands a commitment to ensuring that academic programs and relevant documentation comply with institutional standards and accreditation requirements while aligning with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum development initiatives, including the selection and procurement of educational materials while collaborating with external vendors.
  • Partner with faculty, Subject Matter Experts, and vendors to design and update curriculum materials, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional goals.
  • Integrate contemporary educational research and best practices, alongside feedback from students, faculty, and staff, to refine curricular offerings.
  • Guarantee that the curriculum fulfills certification content requirements and adheres to accreditation standards.
  • Facilitate professional development workshops for faculty focusing on curriculum content, instructional strategies, and assessment methodologies to foster effective teaching practices.
  • Collaborate with Academic Leadership to evaluate student learning outcomes and propose enhancements that facilitate student success.
  • Develop and curate resources that support faculty in the effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Manage instructional materials, including textbooks and other resources that align with the curriculum.
  • Investigate and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and technologies that enrich the learning experience.
  • Conduct educational research to guide curriculum decisions.
  • Actively participate in the Curriculum Review Committee and assist in planning for Program Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Experience in curriculum design and development, lesson planning, and program evaluation is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of pertinent laws and regulations with the capacity to implement them effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant educational software packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, curriculum and instruction, teaching, or a related field is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, or educational administration is preferred.
  • A passion for enhancing education and an openness to new concepts and ideas.
