Job Overview

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Remote Therapist. This is an exceptional opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated professional holding the credentials of Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). You will work under the guidance of the Medical Director to deliver evidence-based psychotherapy and counseling services, thereby making a significant impact on the mental health of individuals referred by our psychiatrists and mid-level providers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver psychotherapy, counseling, and talk therapy to a diverse population including adults, children, and adolescents, employing evidence-based methodologies.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate mental and behavioral health needs.
  • Formulate differential diagnoses for various mental health conditions and substance use disorders.
  • Establish short-term and long-term treatment goals tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Actively engage in team meetings to review treatment plans, monitor progress, and develop discharges as necessary.
  • Identify urgent mental health crises and facilitate appropriate referrals.
  • Maintain accurate written documentation for clinical sessions, assessments, and interventions.
  • Facilitate group or family therapy sessions based on patient requirements.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to uphold high standards of care.
  • Ensure licensing requirements remain current and uphold all professional credentials.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Specialized training in Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) and Empirically Based Treatment (EBT).
  • In-depth understanding of trauma’s effects on mental health, specifically in relation to trauma-informed care for conditions like PTSD.
  • Proficiency in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PET).
  • Formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Strong computer skills with a capacity to document in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree from an accredited program, with completion of all necessary supervised hours.
  • Passage of the relevant licensing examination for independent practice within the state.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as an LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW.
  • Experience with veteran populations and trauma victims is preferred.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support during evenings and weekends when needed.
