Job Overview

We are a pioneering biopharmaceutical company dedicated to uncovering and delivering groundbreaking medicines and solutions that address pressing health concerns today and tackle the medical challenges of tomorrow. As we strive to make a significant impact across several vital therapeutic areas—including immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and eye care—we invite you to become a part of our mission as an Associate Director of Medical Expert Engagement Marketing for the Central region.

In this fully remote position, we are looking for a dynamic professional residing in states such as Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, or Kentucky. You will play a pivotal role in executing and supporting the Medical Expert Engagement strategy, particularly for an innovative therapy anticipated to be approved for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director to implement the Medical Expert Engagement Strategy across the designated region, ensuring it aligns with overarching oncology business goals.
  • Develop and execute the Medical Expert Engagement Strategy regionally, which includes organizing advisory board meetings, special engagements, and congress planning.
  • Lead the materials approval process, encompassing job code creation and field resource deployment.
  • Oversee regional speaker programs, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and foster maximum healthcare professional (HCP) engagement.
  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales, medical, and external agencies to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Effectively manage budgets and resources, ensuring timely execution of plans and accurate financial reporting.
  • Coordinate Medical Expert engagements at medical conferences, ensuring a collaborative approach with relevant functions for an optimal HCP experience.
  • Partner with teams to implement national marketing resources and adapt them for regional needs.
  • Co-manage agency partners to ensure compliance with timelines and budget constraints.
  • Educate Medical Experts on strategic brand priorities to build strong professional relationships and drive brand success.

Required Skills

  • Strong project management capabilities to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills with the ability to collate insights and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Strategic mindset with the aptitude to think critically and execute effectively on regional plans.
  • Proven ability to cultivate cross-functional partnerships and influence without direct authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years in the biopharmaceutical industry, including at least 1 year in marketing or medical affairs, or alternatively, 5 years as an advanced nurse practitioner or pharmacist in oncology with at least 1 year in healthcare marketing or sales.
  • Experience in sales leadership, TLL, or account management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with oncology or rare diseases is advantageous, with a preference for thoracic oncology expertise.
  • Willingness to travel up to 60% for various engagements including domestic travel for office visits, field time, and conferences.

Joining our team presents a wealth of opportunities for professional development and the chance to work collaboratively across various departments. You will enhance your skills in marketing, project management, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to meaningful healthcare solutions.

We emphasize a culture of collaboration, innovation, and a strong commitment to addressing health challenges. Our dedication to diversity and inclusion ensures that all qualified individuals are considered for employment without discrimination, fostering a supportive and engaging work environment.

Compensation And Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan for eligible employees.
