Job Overview

We are in search of motivated individuals to join our dedicated team as a Junior Procurement Management Analyst, providing vital procurement support for our esteemed U.S. Navy client. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your understanding of business processes and analytical skills to assist various commands within the Department of Defense (DoD). This position allows for a flexible work arrangement, with the option for partial remote work, although candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from Crane, Indiana, to facilitate on-site meetings and hybrid work schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily program activities and oversee the progress of procurement initiatives.
  • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on procurement-related issues.
  • Assist in gathering data for the implementation of regulatory and policy guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various organizations and customers to ensure the accuracy of procurement forms for asset and OM&S validation.
  • Confirm accurate validation of government funding and screen mandatory sources of supply.
  • Input data efficiently into the Navy ERP system.
  • Manage and track all MILSTRIP and purchase card requisitions while maintaining a detailed tracking sheet for transactions.
  • Monitor the division mailbox and effectively filter incoming requests.
  • Request necessary IT determinations to advance procurement requests.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by gathering procurement requirements from government Requiring Technical Authority (RTA) and Technical Points of Contact (POCs).
  • Verify vendor information for precision and ensure screening of mandatory sources when required.
  • Complete and review all Purchase Request (PR) forms for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Ensure all part numbers are accompanied by a UMM/NIIN.
  • Maintain metrics related to purchase card and MILSTRIP requisitions, staying informed about MILSTRIP advice codes.
  • Track and report all procurement-related information until materials are fully acquired.
  • Utilize ERP systems to provide necessary approval information and status updates.
  • Share weekly procurement tracking updates with the entire division.
  • Develop, analyze, and monitor procurement data and packages, offering recommendations for enhancements in quality, scheduling, and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate meeting minutes, manage documentation, and perform data entry as needed.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by government leadership.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in preparing, analyzing, and presenting data effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in computer applications, finance, and analytical methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to operate independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Capacity to thrive under tight deadlines and adeptly manage time.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is mandatory. Candidates possessing 4+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Prior experience supporting NSWC Crane is advantageous.
