Job Overview

ezURs, a URAC accredited Independent Review Organization, is recognized for its nationwide coverage and commitment to excellence in physician review services. We are actively seeking Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons licensed in Illinois to join our esteemed panel of physician consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive utilization reviews, focusing on pre-authorizations, medication assessments, and long-term disability (LTD) and short-term disability (STD) evaluations.
  • Review and analyze medical records with an emphasis on diagnosis, mechanisms of injury, and treatment history to evaluate the appropriateness of care.
  • Provide objective, defensible, and evidence-based assessments to ensure quality and unbiased evaluations.

Required Skills

  • Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Illinois.
  • Strong understanding of evidence-based practices.
  • Ability to perform unbiased assessments of medical records.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Currently practicing with no restrictions, limitations, or malpractice claims.
