Position Overview

The Senior Product Marketing Strategist is a multi-disciplinary role that helps bring Penn Mutual's life insurance and annuity products to market. This position bridges the gap between the product development team and our main clients—the financial professionals who sell our products. The product marketing strategist develops new content and updates existing materials, leads product launches, and develops quarterly prospecting and nurturing efforts. This role requires a deep understanding of life insurance and annuities as well as the ability to work closely with field sales partners and other stakeholders across the organization to help achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy
  • Partner with field sales, product development, and other teams to identify needs for product materials, resources, and targeted campaigns
  • Utilize product knowledge, marketing expertise, and industry understanding to help refine product positioning
  • Develop and document strategic marketing plans and quarterly marketing calendars that support field sales and enterprise objectives
  • Plan and execute product launches, lead generation, and nurture campaigns
  • Analyze available data and analytics to refine marketing efforts
  • Present marketing strategies and campaign results to marketing leadership
  • Explore new methods to distribute product marketing content
  • Build strong relationships to better understand the sales process and gain input and feedback
  • Develop a deep understanding of Penn Mutual’s product portfolio and how those products may benefit financial professionals and their clients
  • Content Development
  • Develop creative briefs for new marketing materials to describe product benefits, target audiences, and key messaging
  • Write a variety of new product marketing materials and resources, including brochures, flyers, video, and web content
  • Update existing product marketing materials and resources

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience Required

Experience

  • 7-10 Years in a product marketing role Required
  • Strong understanding of life insurance and annuity products, especially whole life and fixed and variable annuities Required
  • Marketing or sales experience within the financial services industry or another business-to-business industry Preferred

Licenses

  • LOMA designation (FLMI or ALMI) Preferred

Base Salary Range: $93,500-$137,000
