Summary

Primary responsibility is to drive sales of our product through existing and new targeted distribution customers,

deliver world class technical support, and collect VOC of customers and surfacing markets within North

America. The focus for this role is to identify target distributor accounts/applications/markets, cultivate

customer relationships, and drive profitable new business growth primarily through distribution sales.

This position is expected to uphold the mission and values established by IPS Corporation and reports to the Director

of Sales.

Essential Job Functions & Duties

  • Maximize sales and customer experience through effective account management of key distribution partners
  • Identify new targeted distribution partners in all substrates as needed
  • Onboard, train and support sales organization of distribution partners
  • Provide demonstrations of products and help support sales at end users as necessary
  • Participate in sales forecasting process
  • Monitor the market and provide ongoing intelligence on trends, competition, new product opportunities.
  • Utilize outlined sales and funnel management processes using Salesforce
  • Maintain positive attitude and demonstrate professional behavior with internal and external customers; work collaboratively with other members of the sales, marketing, finance and operations team.
  • Be focused on continuous improvement and process improvement
  • Be an advocate for the VOC (voice of the customer) with internal commercial and operations team.
  • Field customer inquiries and provide technical product information, provide technical support via phone, video chat or in person as required.
  • Ensure pricing and terms for customers are within established guidelines.
  • Identify and quantify opportunities to expand product offering into the same or adjacent markets.
  • Follow all safety guidelines for a safe work environment. Report any unsafe working conditions or behaviors to the appropriate safety manager, Director of Sales, or Human Resources Business Partner.


Requirements

Skills

  • Ability to understand and sell technical products.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
  • Positive attitude with customer centric focus
  • Working knowledge of products offered or ability to learn quickly
  • Organized, results driven, ability to work with functional teams and work to deadlines
  • CRM experience, Salesforce preferred
  • High level of business acumen. Demonstrated negotiation skills, experience with sales process, decision making ability, and critical thinking skills.


Education/Experience

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years technical sales experience focused on distributors; Business development experience in countertop fabrication market is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience calling on distributors/channels and pulling business through to the market
  • Track record of superior performance in high growth business.


Travel

  • This position may require up to 70% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area
