We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Sales & Market Development to lead our efforts in accelerating adoption of solutions by K-12 districts, and breakthrough into new markets like teacher recruitment. These solutions are a combination of internally developed and partner-developed, such as placing international teachers in K-12 districts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and market development, with a deep understanding of Title I and Title II funding and how districts utilize such funding (as well as other sources like state and local funding) to purchase new solutions.
The ideal candidate understands what it takes to develop sales processes and manage pipelines and forecasting. They sell via established framework(s) and methodologies and are constantly looking for ways to upskill their selling abilities as well as direct reports and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership:
- Lead and execute the sales strategy for our teacher candidate recruiting and professional development solutions.
- Drive sales efforts to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Serve as player/coach for future sales hires, supporting them in achieving results and develop professionally
- Own and manage the sales pipeline, converting leads handed off from the Business Development Representative (BDR) team.
- Identifying new opportunities in the K12 market segment and developing strategies offerings.
Market Development:
- Secure initial customers for multiple new business lines across recruiting and test-day delivery
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with K-12 school districts.
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for our services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of our solutions into client districts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, the J1 Visa process, and regulatory changes.
- Provide insights and feedback to the product development team to enhance our offerings.
Client Management:
- Understand the needs of our clients and tailor our services to meet their requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the BDR team to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales materials and campaigns.
- Mentor and support junior sales team members.
- Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Required Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of sales and business development experience.
- Experience building a high performing sales team is required
- Experience in the recruiting experience, with specific focus on placing new candidates at employers
- Preferred, experience in placing teachers or other educators in K-12 Districts in US
