Job description

The position

Our client, a subsidiary of a large global energy company, is seeking a Commercial Trading Counsel to provide legal support to the commodity trading operations of the company. Candidates should have experience with NAESBs, ISDAs, applicable annexes/schedules, and long form confirmations; First Lien ISDAs; AMAs, PPAs, EMAs; related credit support documentation (guarantees, LCs, etc.); knowledge of Dodd-Frank and trading compliance; understanding of FCM and Broker agreements; experience with transportation, storage and other pipeline related agreements; and experience with RECs, RGGIs, and other products in power and related markets. A TX Bar License is preferred but not required.


The role begins ASAP and is expected to last six months, possibly extending for the right candidate. 20-30 hours per week.


The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $110 and $125. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
