Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Director of Data Analytics & Insights to become an integral part of our innovative Sustainability team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will operate as a β€œplayer-coach,” excelling in individual contributions while also energizing a team of analysts, data scientists, AI/ML modelers, and BI professionals. Your collaboration with our Executive team will be crucial in maximizing the value and utility of our data assets for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a robust data analytics strategy that harmonizes with our product initiatives, catering to the needs of both our customers and internal teams, requiring extensive collaboration with Product, Marketing, and Growth departments.
  • Team Building: Foster and lead a high-achieving data analytics team, including the establishment of a developing AI function, while actively participating in sophisticated analytical projects.
  • Insight Extraction: Design and deploy advanced models, methodologies, and visualizations to extract actionable insights from diverse data sets.
  • Data Management: Identify, assess, and manage both internal and external data sources to uncover new insights, ensuring data integrity, quality, privacy, and security.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through comprehensive reporting, metrics, and consultative support.
  • AI Strategy Implementation: Partner with Product Management to create and implement an AI strategy for our data and methodologies, including the establishment of guidelines regarding appropriate use cases and limitations.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 8-10+ years in data analytics/BI, demonstrating a proven leadership background.
  • Skillset: Proficient in data manipulation, statistical analysis, programming, visualization tools, natural language processing (NLP), and high-dimensional data analysis.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with corporate sustainability and climate data is advantageous.
  • Analytical Abilities: Exceptional proficiency in converting complex data into actionable insights and problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Superior ability to convey technical concepts to a varied audience.
  • Project Management Expertise: Significant experience in overseeing projects to manage priorities, drive adoption, and ensure compliance.
  • Flexibility: Capability to make informed trade-offs, engage with executives, and thrive as both an individual contributor and a team leader.
