Job Overview

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will assume a crucial role in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, formulating diagnoses, and administering effective treatments. Your expertise in nursing, psychotherapy, and psychopharmacology will be instrumental in supporting our patients, especially those residing in skilled nursing facilities. This position provides the flexibility of both face-to-face and remote work across California, with our headquarters situated in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough health assessments, capturing medical and psychosocial histories.
  • Assess and diagnose patients presenting with various psychiatric conditions, including ADHD, mood disorders, and anxiety.
  • Create and implement tailored treatment plans that may encompass medication management and therapy.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, to enhance patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on healthy lifestyle habits to foster overall well-being.
  • Order and interpret laboratory tests to guide clinical decisions.
  • Provide compassionate follow-up care to ensure treatment effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) background with a minimum of two years in psychiatric nursing.

  • Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is mandatory.
