Job Title: Remote Insurance Follow-Up Representative

Job Overview

We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Insurance Follow-Up Representative to become an integral part of our dedicated team. This pivotal position is essential for the effective resolution of insurance claims pertaining to healthcare services. You will engage with insurance companies, manage accounts, and deliver exceptional service to our esteemed healthcare clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review accounts, following up with insurance providers to ascertain claim statuses and ensure prompt resolutions.
  • Collect and submit any necessary documentation, rebill, and appeal claims as required. Process both electronic and paper claims for all payers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to a variety of healthcare clients, addressing inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Prepare, investigate, and collect from various contracted health insurance payers. Analyze remittances and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) for accurate payment assessments or denials.
  • Submit corrected claims or appeals and request appropriate adjustments when necessary.
  • Identify issues requiring client assistance and provide essential support.
  • Analyze payer trends and offer insights to foster process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team’s objectives and our clients.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in EPIC software preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government and non-government billing guidelines for facilities and physicians.
  • Experience with account and claim status resolution as well as appeals processes.
  • Familiarity with UB04 and HCFA forms.
  • Excellent customer service and time management abilities.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required.
  • One to two years of college education is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in medical billing, insurance collections, or healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
