What do we expect from a UX Researcher/Designer?

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to assess user needs, behaviors, and motivations through research and data analysis;
  • Stakeholder Communication: Excellent facilitation skills to lead workshops and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders;
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Able to transform complex technical requirements into user-friendly designs;
  • Prototyping Expertise: Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts;
  • User-Centric Approach: Focus on creating designs that prioritize user experience, balancing business goals and technical constraints;
  • Collaboration Skills: Able to work closely with UI designers, developers, and product teams to ensure a seamless design-to-development handoff;
  • Up-to-date with UX Trends: Stay current with UX best practices, tools, and emerging trends in design;
  • Empathy and Attention to Detail: Understanding user pain points and being detail-oriented in creating intuitive designs.

  • Intermediate Google Analytics user skills - can easily navigate Google Analytics reports, work with advanced segments, and drive insights from data;
  • Experience in brand management or company rebrandings;
  • Project Management.

What are the responsibilities of a UX Researcher/Designer?

  • Conduct User Research: Perform qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights on user needs and behaviors;
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Workshops: Lead sessions to gather feedback, identify business goals, and align user expectations;
  • Create Wireframes and Prototypes: Develop high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to present and iterate on design ideas;
  • Translate Requirements into Designs: Work with technical teams to understand and transform product requirements into user-centered wireframes;
  • Collaborate with UI Designers: Work alongside UI designers to ensure cohesive design language and aesthetic alignment;
  • Develop User Flows and Personas: Create detailed user flows, personas, and journey maps based on research findings;
  • Conduct Usability Testing: Design and run tests on prototypes, final designs, or products to gather user feedback for iterative improvement;
  • Document Design Decisions: Create and maintain documentation for designs, rationale, and user research outcomes;
  • Monitor Product Use: Track how users interact with products post-launch to recommend design improvements;
  • Advocate for UX in the Team: Educate stakeholders and the team on UX best practices and the importance of user-centered design.
