Role Responsibilities:
  • As storage administrator, collaborate with Technical Operations, DBA teams and end-users to assess current and future growth, capacity requirements. 
  • Plan and execute requirements with approval from client, and team leadership.  
  • Perform routine maintenance on NetApp storage systems, including software updates, patching, and performance tuning.
  • Work closely with cloud teams to integrate and manage cloud-based storage solutions like NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP and Azure NetApp Files.
  • Ensure that storage systems comply with relevant regulatory and security standards.
  • Assist in audits by providing storage-related data and documentation.

  • Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with NetApp Storage Systems: At least 2 years of hands-on experience administering and managing NetApp storage environments, including tasks such as provisioning storage, managing snapshots, and performing backups.
  • Implement Network Attached Storage (NAS) and related technologies such as CIFS, NFS, iSCSI and NDMP networking protocols.
  • Knowledge of managing SMB/CIFS and NFS file shares, creating file shares, managing permissions, and quotas.
  • Implement disk management concepts such as RAID groups, Aggregates, and LUNs.
  • Utilize NetApp Data ONTAP Cluster Mode ver 9.3 - 9.11+ Operating System and later.
  • Work with Data ONTAP application layer tools such as Snapmirror, Snapvault, Snaprestore, Dedup, Thin Provisioning, and Snapdrive.
  • Familiarity with Network-Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN): Strong understanding of SAN/NAS technologies, including NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and their integration into enterprise-level environments.
  • Knowledge of NetApp data security technologies (Volume Encryption) and standards such as FIPS 140-2.
  • Possess basic knowledge of NetApp Cloud products such as Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO), and AZURE NetApp Files (ANF).
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to monitor storage performance, address alerts, and troubleshoot storage issues related to capacity, performance, and connectivity in a production environment.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ability to adhere to federal security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, including maintaining accurate storage documentation and participating in disaster recovery planning.
  • Desired:
  • Linux Rhel 7 and Rhel 8 Administration experience and Solaris servers, both physical and virtual.
  • Linux Server management (running backups, monitoring and tuning performance, rebooting, setting up cron jobs, scheduling tasks, and patching).
