About the role:

As a Lead QA Automation Engineer, you'll become a part of an international team of tech professionals that Ciklum is building a team to work on various projects whose primary goal is to improve and automate the customer’s business processes, reduce time and efforts required for various operations.

Our Client is a fast-growing, creative, pragmatic and innovative company. We are going to collaborate in the creation of a new platform from scratch.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical consultant for various teams with different automation approaches (BDD, TDD, ATDD, etc.)
• Setup automation processes, approaches, frameworks, tools, and team composition from scratch in a limited time frame
• Perform audit activities of test solutions, development processes, test infrastructure andQA tools and provi ding recommendations (QA Audit)
• Ensure code quality across all assigned projects with periodic reviews of work
• Support all phases of company’s activities: discovery / pre-sales
• Be actively involved in new projects launch as Test Automation expert
• Defining test automation strategy according to deployment flow and project testing strategy/standards
• Implement proper CI process with defined quality gates
• Define Quality Metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, and testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the Product as a part of the test automation process
• Analyze test results and report about stability of the product under test
• Proactively identifies potential risks, devises appropriate risk mitigation strategies, and implements necessary measures to minimize the impact on project timelines and quality
• Onboard and manage team members on the project
• Integrate improvements to testing and release workflow
• Increase general QA competency level across the team

Requirements:

• 7+ years of professional experience in QA Automation of Web and backend/API testing
• Excellent knowledge of different testing methods, techniques, types, and methodologies
• Expert-level experience in the creation of test documentation (test strategy, test plans, etc.) and maintenance of the process of such documentation implementation
• Expert-level experience in development of automation frameworks from scratch
• Expert-level skills in programming language, programming patterns, and principles
• Deep understanding of SOLID and another programming principles and design patterns, hands-on experience applying them into test frameworks
• Solid skills in implementation of automation frameworks using Web / API / Mobile based automation tools (e.g. Selenium, RestAssured)
• Knowledge of testing specifics for different application types (Web, backend, mobile, embedded, high load, SaaS, etc.)
• Experience with BDD, ATDD, TDD approaches
• Experience with implementation of continuous integration processes and tools, CI/CD pipelines with quality gates
• Experience with different business domains (Fintech, Retail, Automotive, eCommerce etc.)
• Experience with estimation and task management
• Knowledge of Cloud (AWS / Azure DevOps) / Containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) / Message brokers (Kafka / RabbitMq) solutions
• Experience of working in an Agile Scrum/Kanban development environment
• Knowledge of more than one of different programming languages, such as Java/JS/Python/C#
• Good English skills – Upper-Intermediate and above

Desirable:

• Virtualization environment management skills
• Development of the mock/stub services
• Experience with cloud-based automation solutions like Browserstack, AWS Device Farm or similar
• Good Knowledge of SQL and no-SQL DBs (PostgreSQL, mongo, redis, etc.)
