Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facets of trust administration, estate administration, and probate matters, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Prepare and file crucial legal documents such as Probate Petitions, Court Accountings, Trust Accountings, and Trust Transfer Deeds.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of estate tax returns and other compliance documents to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, courts, attorneys, and county agencies, ensuring effective communication throughout the process.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and remain informed on relevant legal codes and procedures, particularly California Probate Code and Family Code.
  • Utilize technology to optimize processes and improve efficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite 365 and Adobe applications.
  • Support business transactions, including LLC and corporate formation, by preparing and filing necessary legal documentation.

Required Skills

  • 8 to 10 years of practical experience in trust and estate administration, with a strong grasp of fiduciary accounting and probate processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring all documents are precise and compliant with legal standards.
  • Extensive familiarity with California law, particularly in relation to probate and trust administration.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, manage workloads effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using legal software tools and Microsoft Office 365, with a fully equipped home office setup.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Specialized knowledge in bypass trust and survivor trust administration is preferred.
  • Experience with Clio Manage is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Salary Range: \(85/hour to \)125/hour, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
  • Job Types: Contract, Part-time.
