Job description

Job Title: Member Engagement Specialist (Remote)

Overview: Join our dedicated team as a Member Engagement Specialist, where you will play a pivotal role in promoting healthcare accessibility. Your efforts in reaching out to members of various Medicare Advantage and Medicaid health plans will directly contribute to our mission of improving lives through valuable healthcare evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls (approximately 50 per hour) utilizing an automatic dialer system to present and schedule complimentary healthcare evaluations.
  • Employ approved scripts (over 20) while addressing member inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
  • Uphold a positive, professional, and enthusiastic demeanor in all interactions with clients, health plan members, and colleagues.
  • Achieve daily metrics, including outbound dials (300-400 per day) and appointment sets (24 per day).
  • Manage appointment details (adjust, reschedule, cancel) with both members and healthcare providers as required.
  • Supervise and document performance metrics using designated reporting tools.
  • Promptly communicate member complaints and escalations to management.
  • Engage in peer coaching sessions to foster team development as needed.
  • Comply with HIPAA and other security regulations while handling sensitive health information.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment or 2 years in general work settings is required.
  • Prior experience in outbound call centers or high-volume environments is advantageous.

Compensation And Benefits

  • Starting hourly rate: $15.00, with unlimited monthly commission potential.
  • 10 days of paid training (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM).
  • Flexible working hours within our call center’s operating times from Monday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM.
  • Comprehensive benefits package inclusive of Medical, Dental, and Vision plans starting the 1st of the month post-hire.
  • Bi-weekly pay with monthly commission bonus prospects.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Reliable internet connection with a minimum upload/download speed of 10MB.
  • A quiet and dedicated workspace, with personal furniture. Equipment such as a keyboard, monitor, computer, and headset will be supplied.
